First Plus Education Technology Company Ltd is an ambitious start-up in international education. In FP, we are dedicated to support the Chinese students who are in UK universities to develop each of them into a valuable whole person (全人教育理念). With the support from FP during their university study and life in the UK, each student should aim to become a whole person with required knowledge, practical skills and personal qualities.

The company’s current specialisation is in providing professional and customised services on study skills, academic tutorials, and life services in almost every aspect to maximise the value of their experience of study and life in the UK.

The company was founded in September 2017 and has established 11 learning centres in UK cities to provide interactive learning. Through online and offline modes of teaching and learning, we offer our highly tailored and personalised services to more than 5000 university students across 60 UK universities with a blended learning approach supported with a FP self-developed digital platform.

Within four years’ time, FP has developed a team of approximately FT/ PT 100 young staff members. All employees are either graduates with master/ doctoral degree or experienced professors and experts in the UK higher education sector.

Position: Business Information Analyst Department: Financial Department Location: UK (remote work during Covid) Salary: meet national minimum wage Job type: part-time

Duration: 3 months

You report directly to the Financial and information management manager. He/she takes responsibility of the financial department of the First Plus. It is essential for the Business Information Analyst to establish a close working relationship with all information users/stakeholders of First Plus, financial department, and support the financial manager to perform all duties.

Key Responsibilities 

• Collect and analyse operational data on daily basis.
• Accurately reconcile sales data with financial data and prepare the "Day Book" in financial system.
• Support financial manager to finalise and pre-check accounting documents including but not limit to "Payment requests form", "Reimbursement form", and "Payroll system update".
• Support financial manager to prepare financial statements and finalise analysis on monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.
• Support financial manager to engage appropriate measures and controls to ensure data accuracy and integrity, which are regulated by IT Director.
• Perform other duties as necessary in support of business overall objectives.

Job Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting or informatics discipline

· Major in Business Analysis, Informatics, Accounting

· Fluent written and spoken Chinese and English.

· Accounting or data analysis working experiences preferred.

Essential: 

· Basic experience of business analysis to meet stakeholders' requirements.

· Advanced knowledge of financial management, accounting, and financial reporting

· Ability to work under pressure and to specified deadlines

· Team player - able to build strong working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.

· Good presentation on financial data analysis.

· Good cooperation between China and UK operational team.
